The best way to produce energy DO YOU WANT TO TAKE A TRIP WITHOUT CAMPING SITES SUPPORT? YOU CAN USE AN INEXHAUSTIBLE SOURCE OF ENERGY: THE SUN
Pointing the photovoltaic panels towards the sun means having the battery always charged, it means that it’s possible to be everywhere, at the seaside or mountains, in summer or winter, in autonomy, slashing all the problems concerning energy.
ORION sun follower offers two fundamental advantages:
1) The battery lasts more because during the day the panel supplies energy for a larger amount of time than the same panel in horizontal position. The extension time in which the photovoltaic panel supplies its highest quantity of energy (see figures 1 and 2) allows to start a very important process in the camper energetic balance, this implies that the energy to the camper is directly supplied by the solar panel, slashing the energetic waste due to the battery charging and discharging (chemical conversion). Please remind that for example, 10Ah of charge supplied to the battery are reduced to only 6/7Ah during its discharging.
2) With ORION sun follower the battery is charged in a righter way than with 2 or 3 horizontal panels. The photovoltaic panels pointed towards the sun allows to use all the energy produced (see diagrams) on the contrary, the largest quantity of energy produced by 2 or 3 horizontal panels (only during the main hours of the day) can’t be used because the voltage regulator, linked up between the panel and the battery, reduces the voltage to 14,2V to avoid any damages to the battery.
Both diagrams show the difference of efficiency between a panel of 100 watts pointed towards the sun (in red), and the same panel placed in horizontal position (in blue).
In "A" area the current is 3 times higher than an horizontal panel. In "B" area the current is double.

FIGURE 2
Average diagram of DECEMBER 1999
As it can be seen, in this diagram the "B" area is missing. It means that efficiency of a photovoltaic panel pointed towards the sun, is always 3 times superior than the horizontal one. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS ORION when closed, looks like a spoiler of 22 cm high and is from 100 to 125 cm wide for the panel of 100-120 watts, expressly recommended to obtain a greater economic advantage. Its weight is 16 kg because of its structure, in stainless steel. The movement is given by two powerful motor reducers placed in its base. ORION can be secured on special bars or on the roof rack. It can be placed even on the middle of the camper top exploiting the difference of level of the mansard, being careful to leave a space free necessary to its rotation. The electric connection needs only 4 power wires (with a cable from 2.5 to 4 mmq) and two wires for the control (2 x 0.5 mmq cable). ORION starting up, very easy, takes place by a button in the control panel. At first, the chaser tilts of 40° (its angle has a maximum elevation of 80°), and it makes a complete panoramic rotation to find the maximum sun radiation. When it finds the best position (perpendicular to the sun) it stops and keeps this position all the day, it modifies its position every 15 minutes to make sure the highest efficiency of the photovoltaic panel and the lowest consumption. During the night ORION sun follower makes a rotation of 120° to be ready the following day to catch the radiations again. The operation lasts less than 2 minutes. At the starting of the engine of the camper, ORION goes back on closed position in less than 30 seconds. The best way to produce energy
